Missing debt ridden trader traced to Warangal, arrested
Hyderabad: The missing share market trader who had left his home and vanished without a trace, was finally picked up at Vizag. Kasturi Suresh of Suryapet, had gone to an ATM in Warangal to withdraw Rs 200. With this lead, the police who had been looking for him, finally caught him at Vizag.
Suresh told the cops that he had gone missing as he was unable to bear the pressure from his lenders any longer; he had borrowed more than Rs 5 crore from them and had invested it in share markets. He suffered colossal losses. Suresh told the cops that though there was no income on the investments, he was paying interest up to seven per cent per month for the borrowed amounts.
On September 12, he informed his wife that he was going to Pune and left home, but never returned. Worried family members even lodged a missing complaint with the police.
Later that month, plagued by his creditors, his parents Janardhan Chandrakala, wife Prabhatha, daughters Siri and Ruthvika and younger brother Ashok consumed poison at their house and committed mass suicide.
Suresh came to know about the mass suicide of his family members through YouTube, while he was in Pune. He travelled to Varanasi and performed the last rituals for his family members. From there he travelled to Kolkata, Gaya, Pune and came to Vizag four months ago. A few days ago, he came to Warangal where he withdrew Rs 200 from an ATM booth near the railway station. He was arrested soon after.
