Hyderabad: 4 die in different road mishaps

Road mishaps four died in different accident.

Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man died when a speeding car hit him at Bojjagutta on Monday. The victim was identified was K. Muthyalu was returning with his family after attending a function at Bojjagutta. When he was waiting for an auto near Bojjagutta, an overspeeding Tata ace car hit him from behind,” said C. Anjaiah, Langar Houz Inspector.

The victim was rushed to a private hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. The Langar Houz police arrested the accused and registered a case under Section 304 of the IPC.

In another incident, a senior citizen died when a car hit her near Chandanagar on Monday. “The victim was identified as B. Maisamma, 60, of Chandanagar was crossing the road when an I20 car hit her,” said Chandanagar police officials. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died while undergoing treatment, the officer added.

Chandanagar police arrested the accused and registered a case under Section 304(A) of the IPC. Two others were also killed in separate accidents at Shamshabad and Hayathnagar. The deceased were identified as G. Shankar and Nagilla Srinivas.

According to the police, G. Shankar was working as an engineer at an MNC’s branch located at the RGI Airport. On Sunday night, he was heading back to his residence at Shamshabad, on his bike. While passing the ORR service road, he lost control over his bike and fell into a pit at the side of the road. According to sources, the pit was around 10 feet wide and 12 feet deep and had no caution sign-boards.

In the other incident, Srinivas, a 22-year-old, working for a supermarket was killed while returning from Sanghi temple. Srinivas had gone to the temple along with his friends Vijay and Rajesh. While returning, an overspeeding tipper hit their bike from behind. Srinivas died on the spot and Vijay received grievous injuries, while Rajesh escaped with minor bruises.
