Lucknow: SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav’s convoy was attacked with stones by unidentified persons in Katiapur village in Jaswantnagar in Etawah on Sunday.
Mr Shivpal Yadav had a narrow escape though the car was partially damaged.
Later, his supporters, including women, were lathicharged by the police outside a polling station without any apparent provocation.
Mr Yadav said that the administration was responsible for the attack. “I am not going to be cowed down by such acts,” he said.
Mr Yadav is contesting from Jaswantnagar seat which has been the Samajwadi party’s stronghold.
