Hyderabad: RTC bus rams into 2-wheeler, kills 1
Hyderabad: In yet another incident of Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus involved in accidents leading to the death of commuters, a two-wheeler rider was mowed down by an RTC bus in Pet Basheerabad on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Malaka Ramana Kumar, 31.
This is the second incident in less than a week in the city and the third in the state. Three persons were killed in the accidents involving RTC buses at Kacheguda and Choutuppal.
According to the police, Kumar, a resident of Gandhinagar in IDPL Colony, Jagathgirigutta, working as an electrician for Essar Engineering, was hit by the speeding bus. Police said the bus was moving in the wrong direction at high speed and rammed into the two-wheeler. Ramana Kumar sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. Based on a complaint from his father Malaka Satyanarayana, a case of accidental death was registered against the bus driver.
Earlier this week, a paediatrician and her aunt were killed and two others injured in an RTC bus mishap.
