Hyderabad: Three associates of the notorious gangster Ayub Khan and three other rowdy sheeters were detained during a cordon and search early on Thursday.
Police also found a mini zoo with four llamas, four ostriches, rabbits and around 50 birds in one of the houses in the Kalapathar area. During the operation, six suspects including three from Jharkhand, were also detained. Two daggers were seized from the house of Mohammed Mujeeduddin, a rowdy sheeter who is in jail now. Police also seized 66 vehicles. Ayub’s associates Mohammed Adil, Moha-mmed Asad and Faiyaz were also detained.
DCP Satyanarayana said that using the geo tagging technology they conducted checks in the house of chain-snatcher Lamba who is in prison and was a close associate of rowdy sheeter Aswaq who is suspected to be in Gujarat now.
Police also seized a soap manufacturing unit which was using animal fats to make soaps.
