Hyderabad: Drunk students attack techie
Hyderabad: A techie was attacked by a group of students in Saroornagar on Sunday night. Cops said that the incident occurred when the students, who were drunk at the time, were cutting a cake in the middle of the road and Kothapally Ramreddy, the victim, asked them to move aside and make way for his vehicle.
According to the police, Mr Ramreddy, a resident of Srinagar Colony, was on his way home when a group of boys had blocked the road to celebrate one of their birthdays.
Unable to drive any further, he asked the boys to move away and continue their celebrations off the road. After his repea-tedly asking them to allow him to pass, an argument broke out between them. The boys then began attacking him and pelted his vehicle with stones. After se-eing that he was injured, they fled from the spot.
Based on a complaint filed by Mr Ramreddy, the Saroornagar police registered a case against the perpetrators for voluntarily causing hurt to the victim.
N. Jayaram, the Sub-Inspector of Saroornagar, said that police are working on nabbing them the three perpetrators.
