Sales executive, friend held for attempt to murder in Bengaluru
BENGALURU: Two people, including a sales executive with Mahindra automotive company, have been arrested on charges of attempting to murder a man during a drunken brawl on Saturday night.
Around 11.30 pm on Saturday, Devendra, 26, the sales executive with Mahindra, Sharavana, an Ola cab driver, and Dileep went to a liquor shop. Devraj, 27, a driver, who was also drinking at the same shop, asked the trio to move aside, which led to a spat. The three friends assaulted Devraj, while Devendra pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed Devraj.
The public informed the police, who arrived at the spot and arrested Devendra and Sharavana, while Dileep managed to escape. Cases were booked against the two based on a complaint filed by Devraj and were produced before court, the police said.
