Hyderabad: A speeding car killed a man and injured two others who were repairing roads near the Malaysian Township in KPHB on Sunday.
KPHB police said the incident occurred in the afternoon when four persons were working on a road divider on the road towards Hitec City near Malaysian Township.
The driver of the speeding car coming from JNTU side hit the workers. G. Prakash, 38, a resident of KPHB fourth phase, suffered serious injuries and succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Three others, including a 19-year-old worker named D. Narasimha, and security guard Ishaque, received minor injuries. They are recovering at a private hospital,” investigating official D. Mahesh said.
A case of causing death through negligent driving was registered against car driver, Vivekananda Reddy, 23, an engineering graduate from Nellore district. He was in Hyderabad looking for a job. The car belongs to his relative. Vivekananda Reddy was detained for questioning.
