Bengaluru: A man has filed a complaint against former Bengaluru Mayor B.N. Manjunath Reddy and his son Litesh Reddy of assaulting him on Tuesday.
The complainant, Harinath V., a resident of BTM Layout 1st Stage and a social worker, alleged that a house belonging to Naresh at Marutinagar in Madiwala was flooded after heavy rains on Monday night. Though he called civic agencies for help, there was no response from them. As Mr Naresh reportedly contacted the complainant for help, he visited the house to help him. Around 7 pm, Mr Naresh’s neighbours, Mr Reddy and his son, came up to him, allegedly scolded him for coming to their area and allegedly assaulted him.
The Madiwala police have taken up a non-cognisable case in this connection and are further investigating.
