Bengaluru: Attention diversion Rs 10 lakh stolen
Bengaluru: In a case of attention diversion, a man has been robbed of Rs 10 lakh by unidentified robbers in Annapurneshwari Nagar police station limits.
The incident took place on Monday when the victim Nagendra (46) withdrew money from a bank near BDA Complex and was boarding his car.
According to police, as Nagendra kept the bag with cash inside his car, two men approached him and diverted his attention by asking him for an address. Nagendra who got busy trying to explaining the address to one of them, the other robber took the bag from the car and fled.
Nagendra then approached the police and lodged a complaint. Meanwhile, Annapoorneshwari Nagar police are examining the CCTV footage from the cameras installed in the bank and nearby shops to identify the culprits. The police suspect that the robbers had followed Nagendra’s movements closely and they had information about Nagendra withdrawing huge cash well in advance.
