HYDERABAD: In a joint operation the Special Operations Team (SOT) of Rajendranagar Zone along with Rajendranagar police arrested three interstate drug peddlers on Tuesday and seized a little over 2 kg of hash oil (weed oil) worth Rs 7 lakh from their possession.
The accused Borgam Surendra (who is absconding), co-accused Bodnayik Anand Rao alias Anand, Nayakam Bala Krishna and Mondipally Radhakrishna, who work on a contract basis in the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, all natives of Alluri Sita Ramaraju district of AP hatched a plan to supply weed oil.
The accused along with the contraband reached the city using public transport in the early hours of Tuesday and were arrested while moving under suspicious circumstances on the Rajendernagar ORR. The oil of Rs 5,900 in cash and five mobile phones were seized from their possession.
“The accused along with the seized property were handed over to Rajendranagar police for further investigation and later produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody,” Stephen Raveendra, Cyberabad said.
