Hyderabad: A 19-year-old drunk who allegedly hit his mother on the head with a stone and killed her was arrested by the Dundigal police on Thursday.
According to the police, the accused, S. Narsimha, 19, a resident of Gagillapur, was employed by one P. Prakash Reddy. At about 11 pm on July 15, Narsimha called his employer Prakash and informed him that his mother S. Manemma, 40, was lying in their house in a pool of blood and sought help.
Prakash and his friends rushed to Narsimha’s house to find his mother bleeding from the head. They rushed her to Gandhi Hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
The police said when Prakash questioned him, Narsimha confessed to having hit her with a stone on her head after an argument in an inebriated condition.
