Telangana: Jobs cheat just won't stop, held a third time
Hyderabad: A man who cheated dozens of job seekers taking lakhs of rupees and promising them entry into multi-national companies was arrested on Tuesday. M. Babu Rao opened two job consultancies in Secunderabad and Begumpet to lure the victims. Two victims had paid five lakh each to get their dream jobs. North Zone police arrested Babu Rao on Tuesday. The accused is a native of Alwal, Secunderabad. After completing Interme-diate in 1992, he chose his a career in marketing.
“He got introduced to some job consultants, which prompted him to start job consultancies under the names of Sai Universal Consultants and Softech Solutions. He would cheat gullible people by collecting money and promising to provide jobs in leading software companies. He was earlier arrested in 2010,” said a senior police official from North Zone. “After his release from jail, he completed MBA through correspondence course and again started another job consultancy at Regimental Bazar, Secunderabad, where he continued to cheat gullible unemployed persons by collecting money and promising them jobs. The accused posted advertisements in Justdial.com,” said the officer.
“So far, he collected CVs and money from 39 individuals, who got looted,” he added. “The accused is a repeat offender who has been taking the innocents for a ride and duping them since 2003 promising them jobs. He has been to jail twice before. As a deterrent action penal sections of P.D Act will be initiated against him.”
