Hyderabad: Man convicted for harassing woman

Hyderabad: A man from Bihar who migrated to the city for a job was convicted on Tuesday for misbehaving with a woman living in his neighbourhood in Meerpet. The court directed the convict, Santosh, 32, to undergo three days of imprisonment, according to the Meerpet police.

Police said Santosh and three others had migrated to the city a few years ago and were living at Vishakanagar in Almasguda. He was working at a dairy farm.

On Monday night, Santosh went to a room in the neighbourhood, where a woman was living and misbehaved with her. He offered money and asked her for sex, the police said.

Meerpet inspector N. Yadaiah said, “Santosh was booked in an e-petty case and produced before a court. The court ordered him to undergo three days of imprisonment.”
