Thiruvananthapuram: Thunderstorms and lightning accompanied by gusty winds upto 30 to 40 kmph are likely at isolated places in Kerala on Sunday and Monday. Yellow alert have been issued for Kozhikode and Wayanad districts in view of this.

A trough is also extending from South Chhattisgarh up to South Tamil Nadu across Telangana and parts of Kerala. Due to the persistence of these two systems South Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Kerala will continue receiving rain and thundershower activity with gusty winds towards afternoon and evening hours for these two days. Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi too will remain very warm and humid during this period. Rain and thundershower is likely towards the afternoon and evening hours in these cities.
