Plane mischief: TD Vijayawada corporator summoned
VIJAYAWADA: The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police of Hyderabad has issued summons to Vijayawada Municipal Corporation corporator Ummadi Venkateswarlu alias Chanti regarding allegations that he harassed a co-passenger on board a flight recently.
Police officials said that they had issued the summons asking him to come to the RGIA police station within a week. On the other hand, Mr Chanti, who claimed to be innocent in the case, did not respond over the phone regarding the issue.
RGIA inspector T. Sudhakar said they had issued summons to Mr Chanti to come to the police station within a week. Meanwhile, tension gripped Mr Chanti’s house on Wednesday as the Telangana police came with the summons.
The RGIA police said that there was no CCTV camera on the flight in which the incident took place.
