Hyderabad: J. Bhargavi, assistant public prosecutor, lodged a complaint against her husband, A. Purushotham Reddy, an advocate, accusing him of harassing her in the name of caste and beating her. She also named her in-laws for allegedly harassing her.
Bhargavi in her complaint alleged that Reddy returned home from Vijayawada on Sunday night. While she was helping their son with school work, Reddy started abusing her and beat her. She told police he had been beating her since their marriage in 2007.
Being an advocate he used to settle the matter whenever she informed the police. On her complaint, Panjagutta police registered a case and started an investigation.
