Hyderabad: 3 farmers arrested for murder

Mahesh stole the buffaloes of Chandraiah and a case was registered.

Hyderabad: Angered at their buffaloes getting stolen, three farmers killed a man a week ago. Police arrested three relatives of Nakka Mahesh on Tuesday. The suspects are N. Chandraiah, N. Krishnaiah and N. Parvatalu.

Mahesh stole the buffaloes of Chandraiah and a case was registered. He also let the buffaloes loose without Chandraiah’s knowledge. Mahesh left home on Wednesday night to go to his field but did not return and his wife Manjula lodged a complaint. His body was found on Sunday.

Last Wednesday Mahesh, his friends and the suspects gathered at their field and drank liquor. After this Mahesh’s friends left. Thinking that Mahesh would come to let loose the buffaloes Chandraiah waited in his field while Krishnaiah and Parvatalu hid behind trees. As soon as Mahesh came, Chandraiah hit him with a stick on the head. Mahesh died on the spot. Police nabbed the trio and they confessed to the murder. The trio were arrested and remanded.
