Bengaluru: Man killed, chopped up, stashed in beanbag

Bengaluru: Two men were found murdered in two separate incidents in Kengeri, on the outskirts of the city, on Saturday. The identity of the two deceased is yet to be ascertained.

In the first incident, a decomposed body that was cut into pieces was found in a vacant plot of land in Visvesvaraya Layout.

The police said the body was packed inside the cover used of a beanbag. The bag containing the body was thrown on the roadside, the police said. A passerby who tried to pick it grew suspicious as it was too heavy. When he opened it, he found a human leg and alerted the local residents and the police.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was murdered, his body cut into pieces and stacked inside the bag.

In another incident, a decomposed body of a 35-year-old man was found in a drain on Channasandra-Srinivasapura Road. Passersby, who saw the body floating, alerted police. It was fished out and shifted to Victoria Hospital. The police said that the body bore external injuries. Kengeri police are going through the missing complaints to establish the identity of both the victims.
