Bengaluru: A 21-year-old man from Odisha, who went missing on Wednesday night after he stepped out to relieve himself, returned a day later, but with his tongue and private parts chopped off.The victim, Biju Nayak, stays with his elder brother at a makeshift hut in Immudi, Whitefield. Biju told the police that four masked men took him to a secluded place and cut his tongue and private parts before abandoning him.
The victim’s brother, who had searched for the missing man the entire night, was shocked to see Biju’s condition. The brothers, who work as construction labourers, then filed a complaint with the police. Biju was later admitted to Vydehi Hospital in Whitefield.
As his tongue was chopped off, Biju could only communicate through sign language. He told the police and his brother that the masked men attacked him and forcibly took him to the isolated spot. They then cut his tongue and private parts before letting him go. He told the police that the assailants were talking in Hindi.The police suspect that the miscreants are known to the victim and are confident of nabbing them soon.
