Nellore: Two youths allegedly attempted to molest a 15-year-old girl at Yanadiyettu in Varadayyapalem mandal late on Thursday night. The victim, a Class X student was preparing for her exam at her home when the incident took place. The accused, who found her alone, attempted sexual assault but fled from the scene after the girl raised an alarm.
The parents of the victim have lodged a complaint with Varadayyapalem police against the accused Raju and Dilip alleging that they molested their daughter.
Sub-inspector (SI) Sheik Shawali said that there are some disputes between the complainant and accused in the past and they are investigating the case from all angles.
