Hyderabad: Monster.com telecaller Sunitha’s death investigation is getting complicated with the police now not ruling out the suicide angle. The police, who questioned around 10 friends of her could not find any clues. CCTV footages from an area in Madhapur showed Sunitha walking with a white plastic container in her hand. A burnt plastic container at the spot also added to their suspicions. Investigations revealed that Sunitha was very friendly with a guy from Kukatpally who is also working as a telecaller in another call centre in Madhapur. Usually they meet in Bhagyanagar colony.
As usual they met on Monday when she proposed to him and asked him to give his acceptance on Valentine’s Day, that is Tuesday. But the guy rejected her proposal and said that he was already engaged to another girl, and she threatened to commit suicide. “After that she sent him messages on WhatsApp saying that she will commit suicide if he did not accept her. He blocked her number on his mobile and WhatsApp also. He did not meet her on Tuesday and Wednesday,” police said.
On further questioning the person said that six months ago she had proposed to him but he had kept his decision on hold, and then she threatened him that she would set herself ablaze, but he dissuaded her. But their friendship continued and none of her family members knew about this.
While analysing one of the CCTV footages police found that Sunitha was walking with a white plastic container in her hand, which is creating suspicions that she might have killed herself. “Though they are many suspicions we are awaiting the autopsy report to establish the exact cause of death. But we are still questioning some other persons whom we think can give some clues,” they added.
