Hyderabad: Police arrested two women on Wednesday for allegedly making obscene comments and vulgar gestures at passersby in Medipally. The women were caught by the SOT while they stood near an apartment complex gesturing to the public, police said.
Police said the accused S. Malleshwari, 35, a housewife from Peerzadiguda and M. Sangeetha, 34, also a housewife from Yousufguda, came to Budha Nagar in Medipally for something. After that, they stood near an apartment complex near the bus stop and started making gestures.
“SOT personnel, who were moving around in plain clothes in that area caught and handed them over to us,” said Medipally SI S. Saidulu. A suo moto case for committing an obscene act in a public place was registered. The duo were sent to judicial remand.
