Hyderabad: The Madhapur police, investigating the lift accident which claimed two lives at Nagarjuna Constructions Company on Saturday, will be serving notices to the construction major and Johnson Lifts for which the deceased were working. Cops have prima facie established that there were no safety measures at the place when the technicians started repairing the faulty lift.
On Saturday morning, two lift technicians were repairing a lift on the eleventh floor at NCC office. The cable balancing the lift suddenly snapped, resulting in the lift crashing to the ground and killing the duo. The Madhapur police said that the incident occurred as there were no safety measures at the worksite. “Notices will be served to both of them seeking their version. Based on other evidence, the investigation will proceed,” said Mr R. Kalinga Rao, inspector Madhapur.
