3 held for kidnap bid on realtor in Hyderabad

The arrested suspects were produced in court and after hearing the judge remanded them to custody.

Hyderabad: The police arrested three people on Monday for attempting to kidnap realtor G. Kishore on Saturday. Among the three were Mr Kishore's business partner Srujan, who hatched the plan. The other two were M. Raghavendra, a software professional and H. Rimondi.

Punjagutta ACP M. Venkateswarlu said that Srujan and Raghavendra had been friends since their engineering days and Rimondi was Raghavendra’s friend.

Srujan had invested '1 crore in Saudha Infra Projects along with Kishore and one Chandrashekar, and had developed a site with 21 flats in Madinaguda. Though Srujan was not authorised to sell the flats, he sold them and got them registered in the name of the clients without informing Mr Kishore, due to which they had disputes.

As Srujan had invested a major share in the business, he decided to take him forcibly to the spot and settle the issue. He assigned the job to Raghavendra and Rimondi. On Saturday morning, Srujan informed the other two about Mr Kishore’s movements. “They followed Kishore’s car from Maitrivanam junction to kidnap him, but due to heavy traffic they could not succeed. But while he was taking a U-turn in front of Chandana Brothers, the two entered the car from two sides and tried to kidnap him, but he escaped,” the ACP said. The arrested suspects were produced in court and after hearing the judge remanded them to custody.
