HYDERABAD: In similar incidents, two youngsters died by suicide in different parts of the city. In the first incident, 26-year-old A. Avinash Reddy hailing from Warangal was found dead in a hotel room at SR Nagar in the city late on Saturday night. Police suspect it to be a case of death by suicide.
According to SR Nagar police, Avinash Reddy was working as a graphic designer in the city and was residing at Kukatpally. On Friday, he checked into the hotel. Late on Saturday, the hotel staff noticed that Avinash had not stepped out of his room.
They immediately alerted the police who found him dead. Following a complaint by his sister Swathi, SR Nagar police registered a case and started an investigation.
In a similar incident, S. Shanti Kumar, 30, died by suicide in a hotel in Panjagutta two days ago. Hailing from West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, he came to meet his estranged wife and children who were staying at her parents’ place in the city.
Police said that after meeting his wife, he returned to the hotel and took his life. Panjagutta police are investigating the case.
