Hyderabad: Continuing their investigation into the alleged gangrape on a 13-year-old girl in Nampally, Dabeerpura police said they had reconstructed the scene of crime on Friday. The accused Syed Naymath, 26, and Ravish Mehdi, 21, were sent to custody.
This was done to gather more evidence so that a strong case is built against the accused, said investigators. Police said though initially a kidnap case was registered, it was altered with charges of rape and Pocso Act, following which accused were arrested based on the victim's statement.
The victim who stepped out of home to get medicine for her mother on the night of September 12, was forced into a car by the accused who took her to the lodge after sedating her and repeatedly raped her for two days.
