Hyderabad: Two kids who went missing from their home in Zaheerabad were found dead in a pit dug for the construction of a building. The victims, Ansar and Ishan, were playing when they went missing on Wednesday. Police said Syed Ansar, 6, and Mohammed Ishan Khan, 6, residents of Fayaz Nagar, were studying in Class I at the Sana Urdu Medium High School in Zaheerabad. On Wednesday evening both the kids were playing in front of their home. But after sometime they went missing. Their parents searched for them in vain.
A missing case was registered at the Zaheerabad Town police station. On Friday at around 8.30 am locals saw the bodies of the two kids floating in a pit dug for constructing pillars for a building. The bodies were identified as that of Ansar and Ishan. Police found the land belonged to one Jaipal. “They had dug pits six feet deep and four feet wide for constructing a new house, and due to continuous rains during the last few days, the pits got filled with water. The boys could have slipped accidentally into the pit and drowned,” SI P. Rajashekar said. The bodies were recovered from the pit and handed over to the families after post-mortem. Police registered a suspicious death case and started investigations.
