Nigerian held with MD pills worth Rs.10.56 lakhs in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: TSNAB and Filmnagar police arrested a Nigerian national and seized Ecstasy (MD) pills worth ₹10.56 lakh from his possession, police said on Thursday.

C.V. Anand, police commissioner and TSNAB director, said the accused, Ogbaugu David Uka, 58, used to work as a barber. He had come from Bengaluru to the city to supply narcotic drugs. David had been earlier arrested in Bengaluru for supplying drugs.

Pretending to be a pastor, he was welfare chairman of the ’All India Nigerian Students & Community Association’ which provided legal assistance to arrested drug offenders of Nigerian origin.
