Hyderabad: In a raid conducted in residential areas of Bowenpally, North Zone Task Force team busted an organised brothel house and apprehended the 24-year-old organiser and two customers on Friday. Officials seized cash, six packets of condoms and three mobile phones from them. The cops also rescued three victims from the place, who were later handed over to shelter homes.
The organiser was identified as Singiredet Bharath Reddy, 24, resident of Karimnagar, police said, adding that the two customers were identified as Jalli Bala Padiga Rao, 44, a resident of Uppal; and Uppalpati Akash, a 24-year-old from Old Bowenpally, both private employees.
The raids were conducted at J.S.R Residency of Jaya Enclave in New Bowenpally, based on a tip off from a reliable source, said the DCP, Commissioner's Task Force, P. Radha Krishna Rao.
“Bharath Reddy, under supervision of the main brothel organiser, Sirisha, was organising the prostitution racket at Hyderabad by procuring female sex workers for exploitation through traffickers. He used to organise brothels at various localities of Hyderabad,” said the official.
A few days back, Bharath rented a place in Bowenpally for Rs 8,000 a month and used it as a brothel.
“Sirisha used to engage female sex workers from West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh through sources and paid Rs 10,000 a week to each. Bharath arranges customers on commission basis. The organiser collected between Rs 3,000 and Rs 4,000 from each customer” added the official.
The apprehended men and collected materials were handed over to Bowenpally Police for further legal action.
