A total of 89 bags of rice were seized.
Police arrested a 28-year-old man, a security guard in connection with the case.
Hyderabad: Civil supply officials along with Rein Bazaar police and U&E team, on Thursday conducted a raid and arrested a 66-year-old man, who was in possession of 60 quintals of PDS rice. The accused was identified as Jaffar alias Salim.
“We found the illegal flour mill that converted PDS rice into flour and broken rice under Rein Bazaar police station limits,” said officials. A total of 89 bags of rice were seized.
“He was booked under the essential commodity act and the seized goods were handed over to our police station,” said Mohd Abdul Javed, police inspector of Rein Bazaar.
