Police nabbed 70 youths who ventured out without any reason and were indulging in anti-social activities and seized their vehicles

KARIMNAGAR: Police officials conducted ‘Operation Chabutra’ under the limits of Korutla and Metpally police stations, targeting the youth who are roaming unnecessarily on the roads at midnight and against those who are indulging in anti-social activities here in Jagtial district.

Following complaints from the public that some youths were roaming on roads at midnight unnecessarily and creating nuisance by consuming alcohol openly on roads, district superintendent of police (SP), Sindhu Sharma, ordered the police to conduct ‘Operation Chabutra’ and bring the situation under control.

As per the directions of the SP, the police officials of Korutla and Metpally conducted intensive patrolling at midnight on Friday and nabbed as many as 70 youths who ventured out without any reason and were indulging in anti-social activities and seized their vehicles.

Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said the police from now onwards would conduct extensive patrolling under Operation Chabutra not only at nights but also during daytime to prevent anti-social activities and maintain the law and order and peace in the society.

If anyone comes out after 12 at night without any proper reason and creates nuisance, actions would be taken against them under the Town Nuisance Act, she warned.

Sharma appealed to the youth not to spoil their bright future by indulging in anti-social activities and roaming outside without any reason at midnight and suggested them to focus on their studies by setting goals in their lives.
