Two drowned in channel in Khajipet mandal

ANANTAPUR: Two children drowned in Okileru Vagu near Anjaneyakottala village in Khajipet mandal in YSR district on Tuesday when they went swimming in the channel.

The deceased were Kowsik Reddy,12 and Rameswar Reddy, 14, of Anjaneya Kottala.

By the time some people rushed to the spot and tried to rescue them, they died. The local police registered case and shifted the bodies for post mortem.
