Chennai: Robbers gained entry into a locked house in Maduravoyal and decamped with gold jewels and gadgets.
According to police, the complaint was filed by Shankar( 60) who lives with his family in Krishna Nagar, Maduravoyal. Gold jewellery weighing 12 sovereigns, two television sets. DSR camera and a tripod were stolen from Shankar's house.
Police said, on May 15 the family went to Sivakasi for a baby shower function and returned on Friday morning. They found the front door lock tampered with and the handle removed. Being informed by the family, a team of police led by Maduravoyal AC reached the spot and began investigations. A forensic team was also brought to the spot. Police said the team lifted four fingerprints from the spot. CCTV footages are combed and further investigations are on.
