Bengaluru: Drug haul, Malaysian held at Kempegowda International Airport
The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Thursday night intercepted a Malaysian, Gopalram at KIA and seized 2.5 kg of ketamine.
Bengaluru: The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) on Thursday night intercepted a Malaysian, Gopalram at Kempegowda International Airport and seized 2.5 kg of ketamine, worth over Rs 40 lakh in the grey market, from his possession. He was arrested under the Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.
DRI sources said Gopalram was travelling to Kuala Lumpur via Colombo and was booked on Sri Lankan Airlines flight - UL172. On credible inputs he was intercepted and arrested after officials found 2.5 kg of ketamine concealed in the bottom of his trolley.Ketamine is a dissociative anesthetic drug and is abused as a party drug.
