Telangana: School director's abduction could be false, cops suspect
Hyderabad: The kidnap mystery of Pallavi Model High School director Susheel Kumar came to an end after he returned home on Friday. The suspects allegedly kidnapped him due to financial disputes, but later released him and dropped him off at Shameerpet. Police are questioning Susheel about the reasons behind the kidnap and to gather clues about the suspects. Officials said Susheel, who returned home on Friday, has not revealed much about the incident, which has, for the moment, left the police clueless about the identities of the kidnappers.
Susheel who was questioned by Medipally Police said that on Tuesday while he was returning home, around seven masked men intercepted him and snatched him out of his vehicle. They then blindfolded and took him to an unknown location where they locked him up in a room. Later on Thursday night, the suspects dropped him off on the highway near Shameerpet and before he could see them, they fled from the spot.
However, he could not explain if the suspects were carrying any weapons with them. “We are trying to talk to him to know more about the kidnap. But he is not able to explain it to us clearly. Based on the information he reveals, we can proceed further,” ACP G. Sundeep said. But according to sources, though Susheel and his family maintain that it was a clear case of kidnapping, the cops are doubtful as they have not been able to determine a motive. There is a suspicion that the kidnap claim is false.
Susheel’s family said there were threats from unknown persons. But the police, during investigation, found that there was no threat calls to Susheel or to any of his family members. Police also found that his family did not have any financial disputes with anyone. His last mobile location was traced to Hemanagar in Nacharam, where his car was found abandoned. On Tuesday, when Susheel did not return home from school and when his mobile phone was found to be switched off, his father Chandramouli lodged a kidnap complaint with Medipally Police. The case remains under investigation.
