Hyderabad: Lallaguda police on Friday produced auto driver Vanka Rajesh, 37, who raped and impregnated a Class IX student, before a local court. The accused was sent to judicial remand for 14 day. The investigation officials would take him into custody for grilling in connection with the case. He was booked under IPC section for rape and under The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO Act)-2012.
Rajesh had been abusing the 13-year-old victim for the last six months taking her to isolated place in Railway quarters while dropping the school girl home. Police said that he used to stop the auto rickshaw at the railway ground and ask the other kids, all of them from lower primary school, to play till he returns with the girl. Rajesh would keep threatening the victim to kill her younger brother and parents if she refused.
