Bengaluru: A woman sustained minor burns after she fell in a burning charcoal pit (konda) during a village fair. The incident occurred at Maaramma Temple in Bagalagunte on Monday evening.
Gauramma, a resident of Bagalagunte, is the victim who was injured in the incident. Local residents had organised the village fair on Monday in front of Maaramma Temple. As part of the fair, burning charcoal pit was created as a ritual. Several people managed to cross it. Gauramma also tried to cross the pit that was around 10 feet, but lost balance and fell in the burning charcoal, police said.
