Hyderabad: The family of the six-year-old expressed the suspicion that it was not that rape accused Pallakonda Raju who died at the railway track.
“Earlier Minister KTR sir said that he was caught and then he said sorry. Now they claim that he was found dead somewhere so far away, how can we trust any of this,” asked a relative of the victim. They demanded to see the body to confirm the identity themselves.
Meanwhile, neighbours burst crackers on hearing of the death of Raju.
The victim’s family received the news of Raju’s alleged suicide from their neighbours and could only say he deserved brutal punishment so that no one repeats the crime. The parents of the rape victim were still in a state of shock, and the victim’s father said that they wanted to see the body.
“We have to confirm the identity of the man after checking ourselves. They have to show the body to us. They can sense danger to him if he was alive but what will we do to a dead body? We want to see for ourselves to ascertain his identity,” said the father.
“We had demanded that the government hand him over to us so that we would have publicly lynched him as he deserves nothing less,” a relative said. A local resident said the suspect should have been killed in an encounter in full public view to instil fear among criminals.
The police have beefed up security in the locality as a precautionary measure....
