Hyderabad: A 38-year-old man, who sexually assaulted his 13-year-old daughter at Yadadri, was convicted by a court and imprisoned for five years. The incident took place in Februarym a Rachakonda police official said. According to the police, the accused, a temple priest, had given his daughter for adoption to his sister-in-law’s family in 2006.
On February 10, when she girl went to his house, he allegedly sexually assaulted her after showing objectionable videos to her on his mobile phone. After the assault, he threatened the girl against disclosing the incident to anyone. However, the girl told her adoptive mother, who lodged a complaint.
The additional district judge court at Nalgonda convicted the priest and sentenced him to five years of rigorous imprisonment.
