Kozhikode: The Mukkam police arrested a youth for sexually abusing a minor girl and circulating the visuals through social networking sites. The youth, Senthil Raj, 19, of Kalloor near Mukkam, took the minor girl in a car to HiLite Mall in Kozhikode on February 1 and forced her to do oral sex while returning.
The youth became intimate with the girl when her father met with an accident earlier. Later, he gave her a smart phone with which he started chatting with her. He also persuaded her to send him her naked videos with which he blackmailed her and forced her into sexual relationship with him. The issue came to light when the girl's photos appeared in the WhatsApp groups of the locality.
The police slapped the provisions of PoCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act against him and produced him at the PoCSO court, Kozhikode, which remanded him in judicial custody.
