Six burglars held by the Cyberabad police, Rs 46 lakh found

The central crime station sleuths of Madhapur on Monday caught Rambabu near Andhra Bank in Narsingi.

Hyderabad: Six notorious burglars from three gangs were arrested by the Cyberabad police on Monday, which led to the recovery of over Rs 46 lakh, which was stolen from 35 places across the state.

The accused Galenki Rambabu (31), a native of Parupudi in Andhra Pradesh, was a habitual offender. The central crime station sleuths of Madhapur on Monday caught Rambabu near Andhra Bank in Narsingi.

In another instance, two car drivers, Karni Mallikarjun (28) of Rajulapalem in Andhra Pradesh and Kattela Anoop Kumar alias Tintu (27) of Champapet, who were involved in eight house breaking offences at Gachibowli, Raidurgam and Meerpet areas were arrested.

The Balanagar central crime station sleuths also arrested three persons, Baliram Jadav (35), Sukdev Pawar (42) and P. Ankush of Vaddera Vada, natives of Maharashtra, who have burgled 18 houses in Shameerpet, Patan-cheru, Medchal, Chevella and Pet Basheerabad areas of the city.
