Hyderabad: A 45-year-old doctor who cheated his mother by producing forged documents to grab her property was arrested by Gachibowli police. Police said that Golla Johnson Deva Sahayraj used the documents and registered land belonging to her in his name.
According to police, Sahayraj is the elder son of William Subhani and Bharathi Swarna Susheela who retired as a Government school teacher. After the death of her husband, she was staying with her younger son G Praveen, a mentally ill person, her two daughters and their children. Sahayraj stayed separately.
With her retirement benefits, the woman purchased a plot of land in Gachibowli and built a house there. Sahayraj never took care of the family running his own hospital in BN Reddynagar and residing with his family in Nagole. A few years back, the doctor, with his driver Mahender Reddy, engaged a woman who impersonated as his mother. They forged fake documents of the land in her name.Using the woman, Sahayraj, got the general power of attorney (GPA) in his name with the woman he engaged giving her thumb impressions and signatures.
When Susheela came to know of the cheating, she lodged a complaint with police. A case was registered in Gachibowli police station.
Police collected the fingerprints of Susheela and sent them to the Directorate of Finger Prints Bureau. It was found that the fingerprints on the GPA prepared by Sahayraj were not authentic.
Police arrested Sahayraj and produced him before court and sent to judicial remand.
