HYDERABAD: Tollywood producer Sunkara Krishna Prasad Chowdary (K.P. Chowdary), who was arrested by the Cyberabad police two days back for peddling cocaine, reportedly has a close association with several Tollywood personalities. Many pictures of Tollywood actors posing with Chowdary at his Goa pub surfaced after his arrest.
Police are digging deep to unearth his connections with the actors with regard to supply of drugs to them. Investigators found names of several actors in his frequent calling list and also evidence indicating that he met them frequently both in Hyderabad and Goa.
Investigators who have seized mobile phones during his arrest are hoping to crack his network based on his mobile phones’ analysis and call data records.
Chowdary was arrested with 90 sachets of cocaine, weighing 82.75 gms, Rs 2.05 lakh in cash and a high-end car.
They are also probing into his links with drug lord Edwin Nunes, who was arrested last December. Meanwhile, police have moved the court seeking Chowdary’s custody for further interrogation.
