Hyderabad: A 65-year-old worker was found murdered at Shamshabad early on Saturday.
The man identified as Dileep Bhai Patel, from Gujarat, was staying in Nagaram and worked in a small hotel.
On Friday evening, the man had come to Gaddiguda in Shamshabad to consume toddy along with few people.
“The man regularly comes to the area as a relative of his has a farm house. He had previously worked at the farm house and had some friends in nearby areas,” said Shamshabad S-I, N Sridhar.
On Saturday morning, passersby found the body in the fields between Gaddiguda and Ghansmiyaguda and alerted the police.
“The assailants hit him with a hard object on his head resulting in his death. A few empty bottles of toddy were also found beside his body. We suspect that there was a dispute between Dileep and some unidentified people that resulted in his murder,” the Sub-Inspector said.
The police formed two teams to track down the killers....
