Bengaluru: 2 inter-state robbers held, 23 cases solved

The robbers were arrested along with their kit consisting of a pistol, 15 live bullets, rope,knife and gloves,which they used for crime.

Bengaluru: Two members of a notorious inter-state gang, involved in housebreak thefts were nabbed by the JB Nagar and Indiranagar police. Twenty three cases of theft, reported in different police stations in the city, were solved after the arrest.

The robbers were arrested along with their kit consisting of a pistol, 15 live bullets, rope, knife and gloves, which they used to commcrime. The arrested have been identified as Bijay Singh (35) and Govind Singh. Another member of the gang Nara Bahadur Singh is absconding.

According to police, the three members used to roam around the localities in and around J.B. Nagar and Indiranagar in their car and two-wheeler and look for locked houses. They would watch the house through the morning and plan for possible ways to enter the house.

After finalising the target, one of the gang members would either break open the door or cut open the window rods of the house to gain entry. The other member would stand outside with a pistol in his hand to threaten people. It is learnt that the accused used to inspect the areas in their car and booked a cab to reach the targeted house . The duo was arrested when they were found moving in a suspicious manner in Defence Colony first main.
