HYDERABAD: A man identified as Erra Janardhan, 40, killed his wife Erra Premalatha, 35 and died by suicide at Vengalraonagar under SR Nagar police station.
According to police, Janardhan was addicted to alcohol for a very long time and could have killed his wife in an inebriated condition. Inspector K. Saidulu said a case has been registered and the investigation is on.
Police said the couple got married in 2004 and have two children. Their daughter stays with Premalatha’s parents in Thumkunta and their son stays with them. Premalatha was working in a private hospital and Janardhan is a daily wager.
The couple used to fight frequently. On Monday, the couple went to Thumkunta to greet Premalatha’s parents on their wedding anniversary. Later at night, they returned home to Vengalraonagar.
On Tuesday morning locals noticed them dead in the house and alerted police. Police suspect that Janardhan attacked Premalatha with an iron rod, killed her and later killed himself.
