Hyderabad: Gummadidala police rescued two minor girls who were kidnapped by a woman who is suspected to have committees similar crimes in the past.
The police suspect the motive could be to rob the girls of their valuables like silver anklets and ear studs. The girls were identified as Hemlata, 7 and Saranya, 5. The complaint was lodged by Veerappa, 35, father of a girl.
Gummadidala inspector Venkatesh said kidnapper was suspected to be a 20-year-old woman, and efforts were on to arrest her. Child rights activist Achyutha Rao said she could have links to trafficking gangs.
