Bengaluru: Bomb aka V Nagaraj likely to surrender before court
Bengaluru: While the city police continue to hunt former BBMP corporator and rowdy V. Nagaraj alias Bomb Naga for his involvement in kidnapping and extortion cases, he might surrender before the court in a day or two.It is learnt that Naga is planning to seek bail and surrender directly before court. Naga is wanted in over 45 cases of attempted murder, extortion, kidnapping and money laundering in Srirampura police station.
The police, who have formed teams, have intensified their search in Tamil Nadu after they got information Naga and his two sons, Gandhi and Shastry, are hiding in the neighbouring state.On April 7, Umesh had filed a complaint at the Hennur police station, accusing Naga of abducting and extorting Rs 50 lakh and gold jewellery from him and his friends. Following the complaint, the police had raided Naga’s house and found Rs 14.80 crore in scrapped currency notes, lethal weapons and property documents worth crores.
The police clarified that Naga was not present at the house when the raid was conducted and was absconding since then.DCP, Bengaluru East, Ajay Hilori told Deccan Chronicle that the police will soon share information with the IT department and ED as property documents worth crores along with Rs 14.80 crore cash in demonetised currency notes were seized from Naga’s residence.
