Police arrested a man for burgling houses and stealing automobiles on Saturday.
Hyderabad: A 19-year-old youth working as an accountant at Rao's Junior College was arrested by Chandanagar police after he harassed an Intermediate student. Police said A. Naveen Reddy had proposed to the victim and forced her to accept the proposal.
Chandanagar inspector N. Tirupati Rao said that Naveen was working as an accountant and Public Relations Officer as well. About a month ago, he proposed to a first year student studying in the college. But she refused his proposal and he started harassing her to make her accept his proposal. For a last few days he had been sending abusive messages through WhatsApp. He also sent offensive SMSes to the girl's mother. She tried to dissuade him but he become more aggressive.
